Heart-devouring love
Sharif Gallery (Private)

They loved each other, and for a time, they were together; until one passed into the other world, and the other followed. The rite of entry was to stand bare at each of the seven gates, they surrendered all, piece by piece, until nothing remained.
Amidst the wild mountains and open plains, they coalesced bodies unclad, in naked embrace, entwined in the branches of trees. Hands intertwined, feet freed and dancing, like the gentle windswept limbs swaying in the breeze; and the world was desolate no more.
From the wildness of nature and the purity of their bodies, they drew inspiration, yearning for live the truest essence of love. In each moment, earth and flesh became one. Longing arose to reclaim what was lost, but the return lay beyond reach.

Where the fish goes, the water flows
Inja Gallery
Apr 30 - May 14, 2021
"Wherever the fish goes, the water follows."
The flood has come! I am in chaos! I shall not find peace until I see myself on the path!
Oh, me! That body!
Move continuously and do not settle in any fixed nest,
For they take us away from nests, and when you find yourself,
Journey joyfully.
For only the one who bound us will release us from our chains!
If you find another, embrace them.
And if you find no one, embrace yourself.
The first flood was when the fish sought the water; now,
Wherever the fish goes, the water follows.

Predicting the fall

Nature is not only the agent of life but also a force that guides us toward death. When we say we must "live according to nature," it means not only exposing ourselves to the vigor of youth and the beauty of sunlight but also embracing autumn and decay.
In reality, we all know that, ultimately, we will die, but this does not mean we are constantly and consciously aware of our own mortality. Every mouse and giraffe will die, but we assume these creatures do not have the mental preoccupation with their end. However, living as rational and self-aware beings "according to nature" means moving forward with the awareness that our lives will end, that we will be separated from our loved ones, that our bodies will experience shocking degradation, and that when these events occur, they will be almost entirely beyond our control.
This is perhaps the hardest thought we must hold in our minds. We rarely allow it into our consciousness. Sometimes it seizes us in the early hours of the day, but we are masters of its ruthless denial.
